The series of ECCE Congresses on chemical engineering was launched by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) in 1997 in Firenze, the venue for the first ECCE-1. Since 1997, ECCE has been organized in France (Montpellier, 1999), Germany (Nurnberg, 2001), Spain (Granada, 2003) and Denmark (Copenhagen, 2007). In 2005, the ECCE-5 has been combined with the World Congress of Chemical Engineering in Glasgow. For 2009, it was decided by the EFCE not to compete with the 8th World Congress of Chemical Engineering in Montreal but to combine the ECCE-7 with the CHISA 2010.

SICE Annual Conference

Meeting Scope

Since the establishment in 1961, SICE has been a leading academic society in Japan for a wide range of fields including measurement, control, system/information, system integration, and related industrial applications. The SICE Annual Conference has started its history in 1962. Since 2002 the official language of the conference is English leading the global academic activities. The recent SICE Annual Conferences have more than 800 participants and 500 papers.

SICE 2010 is the second annual conference held outside Japan in cooperation with the Chinese Automatic Control Society, Taiwan. Taipei has not only a long-standing history but also an outstanding modern community, where past, present, and future are harmoniously live together.

The 2010 IEEE Multi-Conference on Systems and Control (MSC) is comprised of three major international conferences promoted by the IEEE Control Systems Society:

the IEEE Conference on Control Applications (CCA), initiated in 1992, with the goal of bringing together experts from academy and industry from different countries to present new research results in control applications, promoting and encouraging industrial participation in the activities of the IEEE Control Systems Society;
the IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Aided Control System Design (CACSD), initiated in 1992 to be a place for discussion and promotion of the new developments of algorithms and software tools to be used as enabling technologies in control engineering, has evolved so to comprise all the different computational aspects of control system design. The 2010 CACSD Symposium will host a special track on Systems with Uncertainty;
the IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control (ISIC), initiated in 1985, provides a unique opportunity for researchers and practitioners from different areas to discuss innovative control algorithms, also developed by emulating certain characteristics of intelligent biological systems, and recent advancements in computing technology, that may open avenues for significant technological advances.

The conference will feature several kinds of presentations including contributed and invited papers as well as invited tutorial sessions and workshops, covering a broad range of topics relevant to control applications, methods, and development tools.

The ACC is the annual conference of the American Automatic Control Council (AACC). AACC is the U.S. national member organization of the International Federation for Automatic Control (IFAC). The 2010 ACC, held in cooperation with IFAC, will present a technical program consisting of new developments in theory and practice in the area of automatic control. The technical program will consist of papers in regular technical sessions, invited sessions, special sessions, and pre-conference tutorial/workshop sessions. Special themes for the 2010 ACC will be in the control of biomedical, robotic, and green energy systems.
